This table had been badly burnt by a candle – the flames had burnt right through the table top and through the drawer back and base below. To bring it back to a usable state the drawer had the burnt parts replaced. The top needed to have the section of damaged wood cut out and then a piece of period pine was inserted. I then worked to heavily age the additions to match the rest of the table.
